If you want to remain "content" with your faith, why debate with a "malcontent"? Pretty obvious isn't it. I think you're over thinking it.

Jehovah`s Witnesses ,/ conditioned to speak with anyone ...except any who are knowledgeable about JW beliefs .Why is that ?
by smiddy inrecent experiences on here about cart witnessing when an ex jw engages them in discussion , it`s not long usually before the jw excuses themselves packs up and moves on .. if they really believed they have the "truth" they should be confident enough to win their argument/discussion.and stand their ground.. obviously they aren`t.. if we believe the bible jesus and his apostles never shied away from talking to / engaging in discussions with the jewish religious leaders of the day.?.
not so with jehovah`s witnesses they are instructed not to engage with ex jw`s , people who know what jw`s believe inside out.and can effectively refute their arguments.and point to their failures.. if their faith is that shallow that talking to an ex jw will weaken their own faith , then they really do not have a very strong foundation of their own faith do they.. smiddy.

Help - I'm going to be conducting the watchtower study
by Saltheart Foamfollower init looks like i'm going to have to take the watchtower study for a while so i thought i'd seek help.. i wont be outing myself or stating anything too controversial, but so far i have come up with the following tactics : 1) ask questions which will get people thinking even if it is about something insignificant - developing a questioning mind is the key to discovering ttat as far as i am concerned.
2) highlight any extreme points so that some might realise they are extreme.
3) highlight any good points - helping others in need for example - just because it is the right thing to do.. if anyone has any general comments which could help, please post them here.

Be careful not to use terms from "Christendom" such as "Jesus is our savior", "are you saved"? or whatever. I used to ask, "are we in a saved condition?" ie: living up to our dedication and not practicing sin by putting faith in Jesus blood. I never mentioned "doing the preaching work" or placing magazines etc. The mags are pretty rigid, I'm not sure how you can insert any brain teasers. I think I would need the article being considered to answer your question. You can do it, all the best.

Died Due To Refusing Blood Transfusion
by rrb2016 inwell, last monday my mother, a jehovah's witness since her baptism in 1968 died last week because she would not accept a blood transfusion.
she was 76 and had lung and skin cancer.
i know that the cancer would have gotten her anyway, but she was bleeding internally, and was told that she needs a blood transfusion, as her blood count went all the way down to 3.2 (should be 12-14.

I will never understand how they think that suicide by refusing life saving blood would have god's favor. So sad. -

Demon possesion, bunch of crap or?
by raven ini've been using the forum to vent and post a lot more frequently lately as a venting purpose & way to obtain peace of mind with the craziness i've been going through recently as i fade away form the org.
anyways today i'm sitting here at work and thinking to myself about demons... ok i know this sounds crazy but has anyone else out there been traumatized by the thought of demons?
i had a dream the other night, just flat out spooky and i woke and couldn't help but feeling it may have been evil ole' satan and his demons at it again.. i don't want to believe that, (trying not to, & just brushing it under the rug so to speak) but have any of you out there been talked up about demons?

When you learn about your brain chemistry you will find your answer. Fear and anxiety manifests in many ways, one way is in dreams, another is superstition. The JW's feed that fire. Actively control your anxiety by changing input into your unconscious. Don't worry, Be happy.

Try Being Kind...It Actually Feels Good!
by EyesOpenHeartBroken inlet me start by saying that this forum has been helpful to me in many ways.
i haven't gotten involved in much commenting and i am not very assertive by nature so i've steered away from participating in debates.
but i have read threads often and had a sense of community.

The taking of offense is with the foolish ones.. or something like that. Its just not worth the energy to be petty. I am not afraid of asserting my opinion but in the end that's all it is. Put away the clubs everyone and lets just do the warm fuzzy waltz. No sarcasm intended. -
